Living as an Empath

Living as an Empath? Here are some ways to hep you master your abilities.

Have a Purpose:
Having a purpose is of absolute importance for an empath. If an empath doesn’t feel he/she has a purpose they might spend their entire lives feeling lost without any real direction. They may always feel like they are in an ocean of emotional turmoil. This is because without an outlet for their abilities they begin to feel helpless with what they are feeling. Life may become too much for them and they may swing back and forth from seeming extroverted to introverted based on what emotions they are dealing with in any given moment.

Put your Empathic Ability to Good Use:
In order to feel at peace with empathic abilities, it is recommended to put your abilities to good use. This could be anything from working part time as a counselor, or reiki master, to spending you’re your life helping others. As long as you have an outlet for your abilities you will find they are more easily managed.

Learn the Skills to Balance Energy:
Other ways to help manage your abilities is to learn the skills that balance your over all self and cleanse your energy of negative and draining energy. Some ways to do this is to learn how to mediate or learn how to balance your chakras. Even going for a massage or acupuncture can help you feel less emotionally drained.

Ground your Energy:
The best way to help manage your empathic abilities is to ground the energy. Grounding is the fundamental tool used by empaths to balance their emotional being. There are many ways to ground yourself, but the most useful for an empath is to feel all the negative unwanted emotions leave them through their feet into the ground. One way to do this is to visualize a white light entering through your crown charka and following all the way down through your feet. Imagine it flowing like rain into the ground to be absorbed by the earth.

Also, another helpful tool is to burn sage and do a smudging on yourself to remove any negative energy attached to you.
