The “Conscious Connection” Workshop Series
Hosted by Jason Burube and Christa A. Lamb

This ongoing workshop series will focus on the inner self and the connection we have to the world around us. Using the Toltec Wisdom of the Four Agreements as a reference point, we will work towards awakening our conscious connection as we journey from a state of separate self to connected self. We will learn the practical applications of breathing, communal prayer, group meditation, along with engaging in group activities and exercises for expanding our understanding and connection to ourselves and the world we live in.
This workshop series will teach us how to stay grounded in positive energy as we work toward making positive change in our daily lives. In the fast paced “everything should have been done yesterday” world we now live in, this workshop series will give us the tools to get back to center when everything feels out of balance.

Each month we will focus on one aspect of our conscious connection to each other and the world around us as we grow in self awareness and communal unity.

This Month’s Workshop: The Power of Your Word
February 16th, 2012 7-9pm.

This month we will examine the power of the words we speak. We will look at how words are used to help heal or conversely, create conflict in the world. We will be participating in wordplay exercises, discovering new and helpful grounding techniques, and we will learn how to consciously choose words that help promote healing in the world. Through Toltec wisdom, we will begin this workshop by examining the first agreement of being “Impeccable with your Word”. We will delve into the concepts of self reflection and outward projection through the stories we have been told and continue to tell, and we will look at how these stories influence the way we relate to the world around us. By the end of this workshop, we will have gained new insight into how powerful our words are and how we can use them to help bring unity and healing to the world community.
We welcome you to join us as we grow in awareness and discover the connection our words have with the world around us! We truly are the words we speak!

Note: If possible it would be helpful to pick up a copy of the Four Agreements for the workshop series.

THE FOUR AGREEMENTS ARE:

1. Be Impeccable with your Word:
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don’t Take Anything Personally:
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don’t Make Assumptions:
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best:
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
